Nine Virginia Master Naturalist Chapters Now Accepting Applications for Spring Volunteer Trainings

Picture

Virginia Master Naturalists learn about Virginia’s natural resources, including woods, wildlife, and water, and conduct volunteer work to benefit those resources. These volunteers have just completed an annual butterfly count in Albemarle County parts and natural areas.

Are you interested in nature and wanting to volunteer to benefit the woods, wildlife, and waters of Virginia?  Eight of our VMN chapters are now accepting applications for their training courses for new volunteers starting in January or February.  See their websites for more information.  Some of the courses do fill quickly, so be sure to apply in advance.

  1. Is there going to be a Master Naturalists class in 2015 in Abingdon or at Beagle Ridge? My husband and I live in Wytheville and are
very interested in taking it. I am already a Master Gardener and am
getting ready to start the Master Herbalist Course. Thank you for any information you can provide.

I am interested in the master naturalist course in southwest Virginia. Please send me any application and information about the organization. Thanks, Bob
